OTHER SECTIONS - THE FLOWER RAJ:

BLOG
High quality feature items, edited & researched, with links and annotations; audio & video interviews & recordings; oral history pieces, tales of travellers to & from India. "Tales of The Flower Raj" link to (category). We work with the contributors to ensure the best display of their best work.

ARTICLES
A self-publishing module where anyone can apply & have an account to publish their work on our site; publishing a text story is as easy as sending an email; you can add photos & video clips. Edit yourself & publish yourself.

ENCYCLOPAEDIA
A small encyclopaedia of people & places; we like to honour and remember the ones that went before us, so each page is about either a person from that pool of wonderful Tibetan, Indian & Western travellers. Again you can join and become an editor, the format is the same as Wikipedia.

OUR AIMS:
To generate, document & archive permanently, written, pictorial & oral histories of travellers & seekers who set out from the West, in the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s, to travel to India.

To also record Indian & Tibetan seekers & travellers who interacted with & influenced Western culture & the Western travellers and in turn were influenced by them.

To record their sometimes ground-breaking achievements, their sometimes hilarious situations, their lives, their loves, their highs & their lows.

To do this with love & respect; to be as open and truthful as practical; to do no harm.

To investigate the 'escapers, travellers & seekers in the land of the Gods' whose lives we want to preserve for generations to come.

To preserve these remembrances & this material for generations to come, especially our children & our children's children.
